Welcome to Nazarene Recreation!
Since 1974 it has been our joy to serve the southwest suburbs by offering one of the most comprehensive recreation programs available. During the course of the year we offer over 190 individual leagues and courses and have over 4,000 participants from age 3 through adults. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere where "Every Child is a Star" and where families and children are affirmed.
Our leagues are non-competitive, no records are kept, no standings are posted. Our hope is that as your child participates in our leagues, he or she will above all have fun, and learn to develop his or her God-given skills and abilities in the sports he or she loves. In our recreation leagues, held in the evenings and on Saturdays, children compete under the supervision of volunteer coaches. Each week they are given the opportunity to practice and to participate in games. Each child receives a team t-shirt during the season, and is recognized in an award ceremony at the end of the session.
Our Little All-Stars program features daytime classes that encompass sports and the arts. Children ages 3-6 are able to register for a wide variety of classes from tumbling, to basketball, to cooking and more. In the classroom setting with professional instructors they are able to explore new areas of interest and begin to develop sensory-motor skills as well as social skills that will last them a lifetime.
